Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD/District) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the distinguished Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Governmental Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the fiscal year ending in June 30, 2020. This Certificate of Achievement, awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association, is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and represents CVWD’s good governance and transparency.

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report consists of an independent auditor’s report and audited financial statements for the District and is an annual requirement for all public agencies. CVWD has earned this recognition for 19 consecutive years, demonstrating the District’s commitment to the highest principles of governmental finance practices. The report is reviewed and judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program which include presenting an agency’s financial story in an easy to understand format.
